Yes, if it can help people getting out of trouble. That way they will know they screwed up, and that they need to avoid that in the future.
They will also respect you, and they have to. If they don’t, they will be threated as hypocrites and nobody will help them later.

    Introduction Question
I can only think about more “casual” situations when it is better not exactly to lie about someone’s reputation, but only pretend that you don’t know something beyond the normal. If you know the truth about someone that people know for being a good person when actually the person is not that good, it is not your job to show everybody the truth, because the truth will come soon or later.

I think it can be heroic, but depends on what you will do with the blame, and what the other person will do with the good reputation. If you don’t think about it, it can be a huge mistake. To be truthful may not be always the better choice, especially when people don’t know how to deal with the truth, but that doesn’t mean that you must always lie. Sometimes, it is better just to be quiet about you and others.

Introduction: I believe that we should make an effort to always tell the truth. However, in some specific situations, we are encouraged to tell a white lie in order to protect others’ feelings and safety. The government for example, don’t tell people everything that is going on in their country. They usually prefer to tell what it’s better for them to know and omit the rest.

He lied about being or not responsible for people’s death. He should protect them but they ended killed.

    Discussion question:
The world is very corruptible. In some occasions people lie to be heroes, in others they lie to take blame for someone else’s fault. However, for me, if we change our minds and seek to be always honest, one day the world will be a truthful and a better place to live.
